Checking out Arizona, part 3

Driving along and suddenly red rocks reaching for the sky. Sedona, AZ January 2021

Have you been to Sedona, Arizona? We have heard friends and family talk about this place but we hadn’t been there before this trip in January. It is a very beautiful place.

Our hike at Fay Canyon, Sedona, AZ January 2021

We drove through the town and finally found the visitor’s center. The gentleman gave us a good map, highlighted a plan for us, and gave a suggestion for lunch when we asked. We drove west to Fay Canyon and took the hike. The path was easy to follow and ended up in a box canyon. It was a beautiful hike with greenery, trees, red rocks and steep cliffs above us.

Fried ice cream! Sedona, AZ January 2021

El Rincon Restaurant, ” Arizona Style Mexican Cuisine” in the old Tiaquepaque Village was what the gentleman at the visitor’s center recommended. He was right on, it was delicious. We finished up with fried ice cream. Doesn’t get much better than that! 🙂
